I just had arthrodesis or mtp fusion as it’s known! I can’t tell you how happy i am about this! 10 years of constant growing pain and i’m now on my way to a pain-free running life ! when all looks good in 3 months we’ll schedule the surgery for the other big toe. this year is less running

ok just one more post (this week) yammering on about parkrun 😅 - last night some mutual friends organized a farewell party for Clare who’s been a part of our parkrun since the very first event. Clare was so enthusiastic with events that eventually we asked her to be a part of the core team.

sadly parkrunday turned into notparkrunday. several of us still went for coffee though as it’s a sacred moment for us all to come together 💟 it was too icy in the park so we had to make the difficult decision to cancel. #parkrun #loveparkrun #sonsbeekparkrun🇳🇱

I want to tell a short story about how parkrun became such a “thing” for me - I started in 2016 as a “tourist” as there were no parkruns in my country at the time. My 1st parkrun was in Scotland, my 2nd - 2 years later - was in Poland. It was my 3rd one, in Palermo, Sicily where the penny dropped.
