Ahh the most useless senator @schumer.senate.gov pretending to be upset with Trump and ICE while doing whatever Trump wants and asks him to do. If you really care about democracy, then step down as minority leader and let someone more effective take over as the democratic leader.

OMG I can't stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣

This is exactly why the Trump Oligarchs took over CBS News. To spread total and complete lies like these. They want to promote their propaganda under the guise of news.

May is my birthday month so we usually travel. This time we went to India to our 5 yr old nephew. He's the smartest and most adorable kid I've met. India in May also means it's mango season 😁

I exercised my first amendment rights and attended the no kings rally!

I also visited the Brooklyn Botanical garden for the first time. All these years in NYC and I hadn't yet visited the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. It's a very peaceful place 😍

March we visited Vienna and Prague. We got a personal tour of Vienna from cousins before taking a train to Prague. Prague is such a fun city! So much to do and so, so many options for public transport ❤️

February 2025 I finally got the book @saliltripathi.bsky.social wrote called Gujaratis that included my family's story. The book isn't available in the US so I had to wait for a friend to bring it from India.

Highlights of 2025

Rang in January 2025 at Santa Fe, NM. Such a beautiful state with delicious food and the most wonderful people. New Mexico is an underrated state. Its the 5th largest state by area and it's population is less than that of Queens, NY

Lunch and dinner today was mostly cooked by me, including the rotis. Both were delicious and we definitely over-ate 😋

One of the best moments from @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social inauguration yesterday was when the crowd started chanting Tax the Rich

These millionaires became rich leeching off the government while paying little to nothing in taxes & contributing zilch to society. It's high time they pay their dues.

So the president thinks that being able to pick out a giraffe is not easy. And congress is just gonna pretend like that's totally fine. We've entered the dark ages for sure.

Aww this is so sweet. I have to say @gauravsabnis.bsky.social food posts are amazing and the sheer joy he feels really does shine through. Even I've been inspired to cook more and experiment in the kitchen ❤️❤️❤️

Last night we finally ate at Semma and the food was absolutely worth it!! Scallops, rabbit leg, chicken, tiger prawns, dosa, branzino and the cocktails were all delicious. I highly recommend Semma if you like seafood and Indian food. I would love to go back and try their dungesess crab and lobster.

I feel like I'm walking behind someone who just stepped out of the 1920. I guess that's #NYC 😂

Once all the ballots were collected, we waited for the chair to count & add up weighted votes. It felt like participating in the Iowa caucuses. Though I admit, I've never participated in any caucus. But it was weird to have each vote count differently even though we all live in assembly district 74
December 11, 2025 at 3:09 AM
After that we voted but everyone's vote was weighed based on ED/AD you are assigned. So @gauravsabnis.bsky.social & I had different weighted votes. The weight depends on how many people voted in the last gubernatorial election in your ED/AD. The higher the voter turnout, the higher the weighed vote

This was an interesting process. Each candidate got nominated by a county committee member who had 1 min to speak. Then it was seconded by another member who also spoke briefly. The candidate then accepted the nomination and made a brief speech.

With Harvey Epstein being sworn in as NYC city council member, his assembly seat is now vacant. About 200 or so county committee members of the 74th Assembly District will be voting today for the next democratic nominee for the special election.
December 11, 2025 at 12:43 AM
It's official. Harvey Epstein is the new city council member.

Congratulations Harvey.
