I'm sad about this. The @washingtonpost.com has been part of our media portfolio for years. It's unfortunate that Bezos is interfering editorially. I think he's a brilliant guy and should just stay in his lane -- which is business. Pretty soon all we'll have is random podcasters and tiktokers.

Did you know that you can "plead" with ChatGPT to change its policy? I wanted to find a song with lyrics that reference sunbeams. It initially said "sorry can't do that" but then I explained that Claude let me and it said, "oh, OK, here you go.." Very weird.

I have very little coding experience. I created my first-ever program (actually Python script) using Claude and Visual Studio. The problem I addressed is removing duplicates and rotating 2000+ photos we're scanning. It uses Google Vision API. It's working pretty well. Will post more details.

I just used the Skybridge Chrome plug-in to find and follow a bunch of the people from my early years on Twitter. It worked pretty well. Hopefully BSky can maintain momentum and recapture some of that early-Twitter fun and value. Nice to see you again!

I joined Twitter in March 2007. Nearly 18 years ago. My ID = rustyw. I was proud of that clear symbol of being a pioneer/early settler. In its heyday it was a brilliant idea exchange and real-time news service. Now it's an echo chamber of a billionaire's ego. Oh well, nothing lasts forever.
