Hi Mike. First off, thanks for watching my post. I’m hoping I can connect with more people here but so far it’s been slow going. You’re right that practice is the key but “just do it” isn’t a bad philosophy. Imperfections are never as bad as you imagine.

That’s true. I wish they did more to encourage discussion and learning rather than self-promotion. This video was an experimental video-reply which works really well on TikTok. Yes, I know TT has pros and cons too but I’m a fan of their features for building community.

Hey thanks for your thoughts. I agree. You have to get over the self-confidence hurdle. Most people are much harder on themselves than the audience. In fact, there are some creators where their quirks are what make them more interesting.

Hi Jim! Great to hear from you. You’re one of the early voices of Twitter I miss so much. Happy Thanksgiving!

Current accuracy isn't great -- perhaps 50%. So, I added a manual review screen to quickly fix photos that weren't corrected by AI. The cost of Google Vision is about $10 per thousand photos. Claude should be able to tweak code to improve accuracy.

The reason this is needed: in the old days (80s and 90s) there were often 2-for-1 film development. So, tons of duplicates. Plus it's a pain to presort photos in packets to be landscape or portrait. It's much more effient to load, scan all, and let AI remove dupes and fix orientation.
