How about "No."

More of these stories, please!
My paternal grandfather helped build an airfield in rural Aiken, MN.
The walls and pathways around the parkway along the Mississippi river & Minnehaha creek & falls were WPA construction. 🥰

Glad you're okay, and car, too. I once touched someone's bumper - no mark on either car; he got out and looked at both, shrugged and said "no harm, no foul" and we both carried on, carefully 😳

I'm hearing these SNAP benefit updates:
-100% Washington state
-100% Michigan
-100% California
-Partial Illinois
-Partial North Carolina
-1/2 Vermont

(Note that not everyone in these states received money today because their typical day of the month for benefits may not have passed yet)

I remember finding and buying a first edition of the Three Guineas by Virginia Woolf (not too pricy at an antiquarian bookstore near the U of MN) in 1979 or so and picking it up again this last week while sorting mountains of books to donate to the library (it stays, dear Reader).

Excellent ears!

You mean "family members with disabilities" perhaps? Some of these are aunties & uncles. Or did you intend to infantilize folks with disabilities (again, some more)? Good article on the need for public benefits & support, failure on the collective noun for disabled folks (adult children ain't it).

That time a credible case for his war crimes against a top US official (who died last week) was waiting at the Hague, we got the abomination that was "Freedom Fries" instead.

You're right. Sorry! I do recommend re-reading Witch King immediately prior as I didn't and have had a hard time recalling the who & where, though that could just be me.

Sweet! I love the Île-rien books, and am just reading the newer Queen Demon today, second in a series that began with City of Bones.

clipping an ear tip will do in lieu of little berets, which would be discarded at the first opportunity

What happened to him in those silent years after the Guardian Angels?

Yanno, there's a lot of things I disagree rather strongly with Curtis Sliwa over, but the man has a good fierce integrity.
Must be from his Aunt Mary's New York Penecillin Chicken Soup - into which we still mash the carrots upon eating.

Is this a re-read or are you just now plunging into the book series? Enjoy, enjoy!

Good. Let Target die desparate. They'd have a huge public apology and a heckuva lot of reparative justice work to do to dare show their corporate face in public, and we see none of that. For shame on them.
