Interested in all things, but especially animation/feminism/television/liveness.
I don't know why I was surprised by the level of gore (which honestly wasn't even *that* gory) in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.

Discovered that there is some odd cross-communication happening between my bluray player remote and my TV remote where if I try to change the volume, the disc skips forward or back a scene, so now if I'm watching a disc I have to stand to adjust the volume on the TV like the good 'ol days 😂

Sammie's expression here mirrors mine pretty well after I just saw the trailer for the Hugh Jackman CGI sheep movie

Another big day for TS as my friend came to visit and he was brave enough to come and sit on the couch with us for a bit and accept a pat!

Made my friend watch the first episode of the 1995 P&P before she left so guess I need to binge watch the rest of the series now.

A film with James Cromwell popped up in my scrolling and I had that moment where one half of my brain went, "That's James Cameron" and the other half of my brain was screaming "IT ISN'T" and I had to go to IMDb to save myself.

I love that I don't have carpet, but I do need to get a rug eventually for my home office/spare room as it's far too easy for me to go spinning and sliding around on my chair and I am a child who finds it too fun and therefore, distracting.

The High Court challenge of the social media ban (to be heard in February) is arguing that the legislation infringes the implied right to political communication:
Banning under-16s from social media may be unconstitutional – and ripe for High Court challenge
This bill may well fall foul of the implied freedom of political communication by cutting children out of large parts of social media conversation.

Oh, a further update to this. Tried again the next day and the toaster is working after all. A mystery.
Tried to make toast. Nothing was toasting. I think we discovered why it was in the shed 😂
Dad an unearthed an almost brand new looking toaster in the shed. None of us can remember why we stopped using it. Guess I'm gonna take it and find out?

Ann Rutherford is beautiful as Christmas Past (the 1938 version) but I do prefer Christmas Past when they're a bit more creepy and disconcerting.
