Now that the Ford government has rammed through Bill 33, it is time for them to take away renters’ rights will Bill 60. Stop them! Pass it on!!

The government of Ontario is out of control. It’s time to hold them to account.

So…

The federal budget passed.

No election triggered.

Now we need to think about how we can support each other to get through the harder times ahead.

Times are already tough.

It’s going to get worse.

When you can’t see the light, perhaps you were meant to be the light.

It’s a small start, but I got three calls made tonight!
I just spent the last hour leaving messages on the answering machines of Conservative MPPs with 50 new friends who care as deeply as I do about public education. Here are the MPP numbers in case you also want to leave a message on their answering machines: #OntEd docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

I’m not an engineer, but if we already have unfavourable evidence from experts and those with lived experience doing tunnelling under the 401 that we should probably listen and divert the funds from Ford’s Fantasy Tunnel to other projects.

Since early 2023, a tunnel boring machine has been slowly making its way south from Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, digging out a route for the Scarborough Subway Extension.

My dental office has emailed to tell me they have a new AI receptionist named Dentina… no joke! Makes me wonder… did AI write that email, which goes on to remind me they still have that human touch?

All of a sudden, I noticed that my swamp milkweed seed pod (one out of only two this new plant produces this season) had popped open. Ready for harvest!

Teacher me: “Oh, no! Kindergarten outdoor playtime is going to be a mess! I am reconsidering my fashion choice for today!”

Ontario schools are in crisis mode.

No parent should ever have to worry that their vulnerable child with complex needs will not be safe at school.

No parent should ever have to keep their child home from school because of a lack of special education support.

None of this is okay.

Someone give Doug a sandbox to play in.
Premier Doug Ford says he hasn’t given up hope his proposed tunnel under Highway 401 — branded a fantasy by critics — will eventually land on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s list of major infrastructure projects to fast-track in the national interest.
Doug Ford believes his Highway 401 tunnel will make Mark Carney’s list of national projects

This drought has reminded me how untenable container gardening is. Even some of my well established perennials have suffered unless I routinely watered them. Today everybody got a drink, though!
