Instagram algorithm somehow led me to the fanfic side of Insta and the comments were like looking into fandom in bizarro world. One person was proudly talking about having read ancient fanfic written in 2008(!!) and another one was complaining about not being able to find their 'feed' on AO3...

Can anyone remember the name of a website 10-15 years ago that was just a curated collection of pictures of (male) celebs, categorized into sections like 'hands' and 'wet men'? I think about it every time I see a pic of my faves' hands and it bothers me that I can't remember what it was called!

Is it just me or are people on AO3 getting worse at tagging? I have filtered searches bookmarked and I feel like in the last year I've seen more and more fics that I'm not interested in get through my filters because they're missing basic tags like AU or omegaverse

I realised yesterday that it'll be 15 years next month from when I created my AO3 account (I received my invite before it went public). It just feels so weird because I still think AO3 is one of the new platforms, so the fact that it's been around for 15+ years makes me feel really old...

I just googled for my AO3 account (because the url didn't autocomplete and I was too lazy to type it) and discovered that there's someone on Reddit who regularly recs my The Mentalist fics and lists me as one of their favorite fic authors. Which was nice.
