You ever see the Illinois Institute of Technology campus in Chicago? I did grad school here, super cool campus.

I don't know shit about architecture, but I'm told this place is famous for it. Kind of reminds me of brutalism, but in a way that I like it lol

They're a strange, curved metal building with glass sides and a train track running in the back The Ed Kaplan building at IIT, designed by John Ronan. It's a strange building. The first floor is glass, and a second, larger floor sits on top of it like a large hat, overhanging the first. The second floor is made of frosted glass. The IIT student union building. On top of it, a train line goes through a tunnel.

Conversion to MMCX went pretty well. The connector is a bit loose, so I might need to find a better anchor than silicone adhesive.

Ended up having to replace the drivers with some spares I had. This of course opens up the possibility of buying a bunch of drivers on Ali and experimenting lol
A pair of RHA T20's that have been converted to use MMCX connectors. They're small, black, steel IEM's with clear-ish rubber earpieces, connected to black braided cables.

The arrowhead is arranged such that a small cage suspends a Bag of Holding in the head, with a rolled up Portable Hole as the tip. When the arrowhead strikes a target, the bag of holding is pushed into the portable hole, creating a portal to the astral plane as per the rules or something.

I have these IEMs (RHA T20i's) that I really like, but I got them used years ago, and the wireform ear guides were kind of nasty and brittle, and last week they broke. (The headphones themselves are steel, so the wires take a lot of stress)

So, I just finished converting them to use MMCX connectors

So I ended up doing it in Python, lol. awk and sed have a weird regex syntax, and I'm not good enough at perl to write that one-liner, lol.

I use Xonsh as my shell, so it's actually possible to do this in one line, but this is the most portable probably. You'll have to fill in the regex and file.
A short python script to do find/replace within a string.
