My over the top reaction to the Rangers opening night loss is that they are going to be like the 2024-25 Penguins, but with better goaltending.

Top heavy and thin on depth. Game to game it depends how well the top heavy players play.

need to scrap draft and make all players UFA's Hard cap means same teams can't just sign all the excellent prospects

Give the rookie contracts a max of three years and ie: 8M max AAV. Gives players more career flexibility and fans intrigue. Some might bust and team left holding bag, oh well
