very correct, i hate it

Thus, I was correct in my analysis. The Department of Player Safety remains corrupt and incompetent. Rust didn't deserve the three games based on the league's standard of similar plays.

Fuck Colin Campbell and fuck George Parros

Remember Bryan Rust's 3 game suspension? I said I was fine with him getting suspended if that was the standard, but I knew it wouldn't be.

Well, here we are. No hearing for this hit.

Avery Hayes is getting the call up from WB/S because of missing Penguins tonight

Well deserved, he had a really good rookie camp and training camp. Has 23 points in 31 games in WB/S. I'd like to see it closer to a point per game, but not bad for a future depth player.

It would be his NHL debut

Of course Bezos had 75M for movie being played in empty theaters. It was a bribe, it wasn't for the movie. It wasn't a binary choice to pay the bribe or fund the Post

Not an insignificant prospect. Although, on a quick glance I'd want to know what is happening in his year 4 season in the OHL. Seems like a drastic change in production

The general consensus was that Pittsburgh was going to be AWFUL, which I never understood. I didn't think they would be quite this good, but bottom dwelling? C'mon

I hope some of you took this advice earlier in the year

I audibly groaned at this

I suppose it would be best time for an extended absence considering Olympic break is only 4 games away

They would have about 25 days off

But I hate seeing Malkin on a post like this He's been so damn good I'd feel better if had a contract extension already in his pocket

I went around the league and looked at the other 31 rosters then came up with six trade targets for the Pittsburgh Penguins based on their need of a depth defenseman

Sounds like the Penguins are looking for a right handed defenseman.

I searched around the league and found some potential options

Sounds like Penguins will be looking for a bottom pairing defender on the right side

CHI has some Shea Weber guy who isn't getting a lot of ice time. He's a UFA and the Blackhawks aren't playoff bound. He's even scored 23 goals a couple of times

Food for thought!

Bryan Rust deserved a suspension for what he did in a competent hockey league.

He did not deserve one in the NHL and that is because the NHL's Department of Player Safety is corrupt and biased with no consistency. Their standard is fake and random

My thoughts:

The Bryan Rust suspension shows how fake and inconsistent the Department of Player Safety is. They are corrupt hockeyhotstove.com/rust-suspend...

Emil Pieniniemi, previously suspended by the Penguins this year for not reporting to Wheeling, has reported (12/31) and played 10 games.

For me, he is one to keep an eye on. I think he is a more interesting prospect than Owen Pickering

Had a point per game in his age 19 season in OHL (60pts/60gp)
January 27, 2026 at 10:54 PM
Pretty valid point to bring up when discussing the consistency of these rulings.

The Penguins lost a playoff series because of a Trouba headshot to... it says here the league's most recognizable player, Sidney Crosby
January 27, 2026 at 8:58 PM
I don't think Rust was aiming for his head, you can see Boeser's body move back changing Rust's path This was a scramble situation in a 1 goal game in dying seconds

Given subtext of sequence it is kinda insane they picked Rust to actually punish someone this year. Again, based on their own standard
January 27, 2026 at 7:06 PM
The Penguins won't be buyers in the classic sense at the deadline. They won't be buying rentals, might even be selling some.

What about another Chinakhov trade?

Is the Wright guy in Seattle?
