Yesterday’s cocktail was a cosmopolitan. The same cocktail that first got me into mixology, but a new recipe from Alex Day’s seminal work, The Cocktail Codex.

Last night’s drink, a variation on the Last Word cocktail. Olive oil fat washed gin infused with sage, Luxardo Del Santo thickened with Gum Arabic, Luxardo Maraschino, and lime juice, clarified like a milk punch, then garnished with a grating of loomi.

Drinks from the dog house: A Piña Colada Daiquiri.

A coconut oil fat washed spiced rum flash infused with pineapple
Brown sugar and vanilla gomme syrup
Fresh lime juice
Garnished with seared pineapple

As opposed to most daiquiris, this is heavier and more indulgent, a dessert style drink

Part of my New Years Resolution is to refocus on bedwetting training. This year I will become a bedwetter! To help with this I have bought a calendar and will be physically tracking each night using these stamps. I believe within a couple of months I’ll be having more wet nights than dry ones

Looking back at 2025 it was a very good year for me. For the first time in a long while I feel I have my shit together. I accomplished a lot of goals in 2025 and I have a lot to be proud of.

I have goals and things to work on in 2026 but for today it’s time to celebrate a year well lived!
