Tim Cook and Sundar Pichai are cowards
Once you’ve traded your principles for proximity to power, do you even run your own company?

If you like DFW, it’s worth giving it a shot. He was never one “my guys” so it always felt like a dubious thing for me to attempt. It did teach me not to commit to books I don’t enjoy. 20ish pages and if I’m not bought in I’m out.

It’s a slog, in my opinion. I’ve tried three times to various degrees of success but always peter out. Parts of it are great. Other parts feel like homework. It’s the unevenness that always made me put it down.

I was at the Rays series to close out the season. Hadn’t been there since the last round of renovations and was surprised at how much not a dump it is.

Ben, no!
Going to start posting this every time I catch myself coming close to wading into video game discourse.

Where I will agree with him is that the city will probably get some of this wrong! The difference is I think that’s a worthwhile trade off to doing nothing. This scale of development is hard! It’s easy to do nothing! NIMBYism is cowardice manifest. Fear of change, fear of others. Sad little people!
