thinking about titan quest makes me feel really old because it was released in 2006 which is now almost 20 fucking years ago. these system requirements say it all. 2.0 ghz *single core* cpu with 1gb of RAM and a gpu with 128mb of vram was the minimum specs

just looked into what the fuck is up with dungeon defenders due to learning there was recent dlc for it and apparently the deal with that is that the remake flopped so hard and they original devs and remake devs fell out so bad they gave dungeon defenders for free to anyone who bought the remake

home depot delivered $10 worth of stuff using doordash and i really wish they just used the fucking mail instead. i'm patient and it's probably more resource efficient to, yknow, send it in the service that is already driving up my street daily rather than sending someone who doesnt know the area

i know that 'open source hardware' people have this sort of pride about making everything in a 'product' themselves when they get the resourcing to make such things but i really wish that the more commercial open source hardware space would also leverage existing consumer hardware parts as a base

i'm still really curious about what everyday people think my computer is doing when i'm using linux in public. especially on stuff like my chromeos tablet where android and chromeos are pretty recognizable and i've just got my postmarketos tiling window manager setup which looks way different

people who are like "well actually linux is the majority operating system on computers because of android phones and servers and desktops/laptops that run windows are actually only a small subset of computers" have a Point but when they say it it's typically in the context of massively coping

i have no idea why i never have the common problems with linux and linux programs i always just have really fucking weird problems, and then i'll see people putting their heads together to solve a problem that by all rights should be affecting me but just doesn't for reasons i can't explain
