This will be the last weekend for the Entre Monstruos Y Sueños Lúcidos art expo at the Casa de la Cultura de Nuevo León, in México. A homage to Guillermo del Toro and his career organized by artist @larvasibo.bsky.social

This is the illustration I participated with, a bit of context about it below.
Fanart illustration of a scene at Bleak House, Guillermo del Toro's almost museum house for inspiration.

To the left and front, we see Guillermo sitting on a desk he's varnishing a Pinocchio figure. To his right the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth admires Guillermo's craftsmanship. To his left two students are having a chat with Guillermo.

To the center and bottom, we see Santi from The Devil's Backbone and little Mako from Pacific Rim playing with a kaiju and a jaeger toys respectively. Edith's mom from Crimson Peak looks after them happily. Behind them are mr. Funny Shoes from Mimic and two other students, one of them seems startled at the look of the insect.

To the right, we see another student and the Amphibian Man from The Shape of Water, he's excited looking at a Hellboy comic book with Abe Sapien on the cover. In front of them is the Enoch from Nightmare Alley and three books, The Hobbit, The Witches, and Nocturna, all of them with some relation to del Toro's work.

There's two bookshelves at the two extreme sides of the illustration, on them a handful of books, blu-rays, tapes and figures also referencing other Guillermo del Toro's work. In front of him in the desk is the Frankenstein book by Mary Shelley. In the bookshelf at the left is a figure of one of the reapers from Blade II, above that shelf is the teddy bear from Cronos, behind that shelf is the Cabinet of Curiosities. One of the students talking with Guillermo has a plushie of the Baby from the PT game demo hanging from their backpack.

Excited that I got my copy of Motörhead Back from the Dead published by Petit à Petit.
It's an anthology with so much great artwork and stories. I could participate in one of them :)

A digital illustration, a low angle showing Link and Zelda facing away. Link has his hands on his hips, Zelda is tilting her head looking at a map. In the background is Peach’s Castle, from the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario, in his boxers, is jumping angrily from the castle’s bridge toward Link and Zelda. Peach is on the castle balcony looking shocked with her hand over her mouth. Digital drawing in dark purple, ochre, and white. A woman’s face with eyes closed floats in outer space surrounded by swirls and planets. Digital illustration of a man and woman celestial beings. Near the bottom, the man is lifting a pure black orb, somewhat like a black hole, above his head. Above the orb, the woman lifts weightlessly toward a bright galaxy and space dust, her bright hair flowing downward and encircling the black orb. A digital illustration of banjo-kazooie in a sketchy and rough style.

Promo poster for horror sci-fi comic book Vault by Storm King Productions.
At the bottom a space scene with an abandoned spaceship gravitating over the Moon. A few faces of a space crew behind the scene like a movie poster, and a big green hand across them, a pair of creepy eyes behind the hand.

Lettering by Janice Chiang Comic book page from the first issue of Hell by Storm King Productions.
A scene of a mythological hell, with many tortured souls scared and running away from a giant central demonic figure with three faces that is coming from the ground, lava surging from the hole made by the demon. On the background some mountainous ranges, a Cerberus figure wandering and more behind a bearded man with a crown and a serpent resting on his arms, a nebulous space shape surrounding him.
At the bottom in a different panel, a redhead woman looking at the reader.

Lettering by Janice Chiang A page from the comic book Sundown by BentBox Comics.
Four insert panels at the top, on the first one a strong superhero in a yellow and white suit punching a horde of nazi zombies, as you should always punch nazis. On the second panel the same superhero accordingly punching more nazi zombies, one of them losing it's head to the punch. Third panel is the same superhero getting piled on by the zombies horde. Fourth insert panel it's a close up to one of the superhero's eyes, the eye is shining with warm white light almost burning his skin.
Fifth and big panel the size of the page, the superhero at the center shooting a light beam from his eyes spinning around to hit all the zombies, the zombies around getting dismembered by the beam.

Colors by Sergio Martínez Two pages splash from the comic book Artificial by BentBox Comics.
At the center is Vincent van Gogh, the page is drawn and colored in a style trying to do a homage to van Gogh's impressionism. Vincent is turning into a mushroom cloud bursting from the top of his body, reds and yellows to signal an explosion. His limbs spreading across the pages as if they were the surging dust from the explosion all the way to the front of the splash scene. Vincent has a bright yellow sunflower on his blue jacket.
There are four scenes to the sides of Vincent. Top left is a homage to the The Great Wave Off Kanagawa by Hokusai, but in a futuristic scene where climate change is causing tsunamis hitting a city. Top right panel is a homage to Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth but it's also a futuristic scene, a human figure inside a room is looking at an opening door where another figure is standing menacing coming inside. Bottom left panel is a homage to Neon Genesis Evangelion's Gendo Ikari, a sinister human figure resting his face on his hands at the front with his eyes shining, behind him a few other human figures with also shining eyes and a bright blue flow coming from their heads to the front sinister figure's head. Bottom right panel is a homage to Operários (Workers) by Tarsila do Amaral, in here the human figures have their eyes shining like in the past panel all looking similar wearing ties, a city with a red sky behind them.

You can output any ICC color profile from PS and use it in Affinity. I cover that in this video, linked below, and have been converting to CMYK in Affinity for Marvel, DC, and Image Comics for the last year with great results that are in print.
