28th July, 1935. First flight of the Boeing Model 299, later to be named the B-17 ‘Flying Fortress’. The type was designed to conduct high altitude operations using the newly developed Norden bombsight, and was intended to protect itself against attack with heavy defensive armament.

There was a fellow taking a picture of it from the reflection in the puddles, I'm sure those turned out very cool.

I got quite soaked chasing it and the UH-16 that left after it, that's alright though, nice change of pace.
