As someone who has been diagnosed on the spectrum (and been discriminated against for it) for most of my life, I'm glad that there is discussion, coverage, and acceptance in sports and media, even if others are now depicting an ASD diagnosis so poorly

As I wrote in the piece, Kennedy continues to use stigmatizing and frankly pretty shocking language to refer to people with autism, implicitly framing them as a burden on society and their families who will, as he said, "never pay taxes" or "write a poem."

I remember reading one of the AP's generated stories for the Bucknell-Army double overtime game. Army scored more points in one game than they ever had, and Bucknell tied the NCAA record for most OT games in one season. The AI story mentioned neither of those facts.
To 12-year-old me, who considered human-generated game stories about the Oakland A's among my favorite things to read, this is a real kick in the balls.
