I have come to learn in life there are people who will sabotage & sacrifice their own self interest in order to stroke their ego. They wreak havoc in governance. I have seen it manifest on my Strata/HOA Council & it’s like the most extreme narcissism imaginable. Plus It’s intractable, so that’s fun.
Donold’s supporters don’t care if they lose their jobs or their freedom as long as he is performatively ‘owning the libs.’ That’s how much they have been taught to hate you.
