"Faith based adoption" is the opposite of religious liberty. It requires people to be of particular religions in order to adopt. Religious liberty means people can hold any religious belief even an atheistic belief.

Wise words from WEB DuBois to gird us today: "It would be shame and cowardice to surrender this glorious land and its opportunities for civilization and humanity to the thugs and lynchers, the mobs and profiteers, the monopolists & gamblers who today choke its soul and steal its resources."

This comes out eight months later. How many people have to read an obvious, overt violation of the fourth amendment and not report it before we declare everyone in the organization complicit with criminal activity?

AI will ruin the internet. As false narratives increase, people will abandon the technology in favor of something more reliable. It begins with disinformation, then scam about manufactured natural disasters, and then an overabundance of viruses.

Obviously. He drummed up the notion of a rigged election, he riled up his base, he invited to the capital, and he sent them to Congress. Like throwing chum into the water.
Jack Smith: "Our assessment of the evidence is that [Trump] is the person most responsible for what happened on January 6. He caused what happened, it was foreseeable to him — and then, when it happened, he tried to exploit it."

While not incorrect, there is more to this. Good faith politicians are vital, but what has truly undermined the system is the increased centralization of the political parties. Congressmen need to be independent actors lest they conspire with or be dominated by the Executive.
When my students ask how we got here I say the laws are not self-executing. Our contract with our government only works when we elect people of good faith into office
Jack Smith: "My fear is that we have seen the rule of law function in our country for so long that many of us have come to take it for granted. The rule of law is not self-executing. It depends on our collective commitment to apply it."

Sing it from the rooftops!
Jack Smith: “Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in criminal activity."

Even if this person had done something criminal, this treatment discredits the entire agency. DHS/ICE demonstrates contempt for legitimate governance, which demands discipline and restraint.

Increment the Constitutional Violation counter again. Didn't Donald insist he was "going to bring the Constitution back"? Whatever that was supposed to mean.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social Are you fools ready to impeach yet?
🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

What a sad state of affairs we find ourselves in where government agents need not have standards of conduct. Do not think this is an aberration either. Republicans have consistently opposed imposing standards on police long before this administration.
KARL: Watch this video of a woman who says she's disabled getting dealt with by ICE. What do you think?

McCAUL: Well, the optics aren't good

K: They smashed her windows & threw her to the ground

M: It appears to be a little overzealous, but what about the actions of murderers & drug traffickers?

@donlemonofficial.bsky.social corrects a misinformed man. Conservative media has poisoned the minds of so many in the past forty years. Eliminating the fairness doctrine enabled stilted media. Conservative media purposefully divided us. Restoring it is one piece toward fixing our broken country.
You can say whatever you want, but I might have a response for you…

If we want to extinguish the fires, first we must rid ourselves of the Arsonist in Chief and all his lackeys. Every one of them must be barred from public office for their iniquities.

These are the most gifted agents?! They truly scraped the bottom of the barrel.
Q: Do you think ICE officers need deescalation training?

KRISTI NOEM: The officers we have out there are very highly trained and skilled specific for the operations they're doing. They're utilizing the most gifted individuals on these operations.
