This isn't the first time we've seen an Anime use AI dubbing instead of actually hiring Voice Actors. And, unfortunately, I don't think it will be the last. Companies are trying to normalize this after years of striking.

One reason I highlight this, aside from the project lead calling himself an "AI Soulcaster" as uncanny as that seems, is that people kept telling me before that mihoyo would never do anything weird or untoward with genAI despite Cai Haoyu doing that with his projects because "he left the company."
