The idea that we can "easily" overthrow the regime in Iran is a fantasy of people that have never served. Afghanistan is back in the hands of the Taliban after 20 years of slaughter. Iraq still isn't peaceful. Libya is a war zone that's been in civil war since we dropped bombs. History is screaming!

I just don’t think there’s been enough attention to this. Chancellor Merz is beyond shady here - and for a good cause. And Trump’s reaction - as though proof of his very recent immigrant roots is almost like kryptonite - reveals much about how to confront Trump about his actions against migrants.
