In fairness to #KemiBadenoch, about the one sensible thing she's said is that #stampduty is actually a bad tax. But what do you replace it with? How about a #wealthtax? Imagine the reaction. If this is going to be your last conference as #Tory leader, you might as well go down in a blaze of glory.

I think I probably had second dinner here in the early hours most days in my first year. The healthy habits of the next generation have a lot to answer for. RIP Gardies.

I spoke to The Wire on my debut novel Freebourne, how politics has influenced my work, why I chose a murder mystery as the ideal vehicle to smuggle philosophical themes, and the legacy of my writer grandmother.

Now, more than ever, Londoners from all communities must stand together, show allyship to our Jewish friends and neighbours, and be united in our rejection of hatred.
In the wake of the heinous terrorist attack at Heaton Park Synagogue, I know many in London’s Jewish community will be feeling afraid. My thoughts are with the families of Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz at this terrible time.

Places of worship should be sanctuaries and safe havens for all. No one should feel scared to attend their synagogue, church, mosque, gurdwara or temple.

As we head into the weekend, there will be increased police presence in and around synagogues across the capital.

Our Jewish communities must be able to live and worship free from the fear of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or violence. The fact they cannot do so is utterly unacceptable.

It is clear that there is much more to do to rid our society of the poison of antisemitism, and we must redouble our efforts to stamp out this vile hatred wherever it rears its ugly head.

Now, more than ever, Londoners from all communities must stand together, show allyship to our Jewish friends and neighbours, and be united in our rejection of hatred.

My thoughts are with everyone affected by the attack in Greater Manchester today.
I’m horrified by the violent attack at a synagogue in Manchester.

I have been in contact with the Mayor of Greater Manchester and the Home Secretary, and would like to reassure Londoners that the Met Police are stepping up patrols in Jewish communities and synagogues across London.

My thoughts are with all those affected on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur.

London stands ready to help in any way we can.

The Prince of Wales visited Gunnersbury Park in Hounslow yesterday to unveil the world's first memorial to humanitarian aid workers killed in the line of duty. I was pleased to hear Prince William and other speakers condemn the killing of aid workers in Gaza and conflicts around the world.

Yes I think she's being forced to come out with increasingly ludicrous things to get column inches.

Of course, but that's always been a constant factor. Whereas the economics have changed.
