So during a current D&D campaign, I decided to do something unusual and try to write my character notes in poetic form.
You might not expect that I'm playing a Druid and not a Bard, but there we go.

Did the phrase "It's not over 'til the fat lady sings" fall out of use for sensitivity reasons or because writers realised that the cultural ubiquity of Operatic tropes kind of dropped off after the 20th century?
Or are there just fewer Opera singers that fit the description?

Many times when I sit down to do some #writing, I regret that I rarely describe physical spaces.
Then I remember that I gloss over those details most of the time, so if I'm writing for me and people like me, they'd probably have skipped the bits I didn't write anyway.
