Home insurance in areas hit by repetitive disasters is going to be the number one housing affordability issue over the next 4 years. And possibly going into the midterms.

Here in Florida we have a housing crisis of our own - developers are building affordable homes all around, but many are sitting empty because people can't afford the necessary home insurance.

I think it could have also led to voter suppression. If the guy running as a Dem in a senate race won’t say he believes in the presidential candidate, it may make voters wonder why? They may decide to abstain from voting at the top of the ticket.
