It's still increasing. These people are literally going to the slaughter like actual LOTR orcs. Just running into the grinder.

I'm having a hard time fathoming how bad a society is when this is how much they value life. Their OWN life.

We will most likely see an s curve. We are still in the acceleration phase. Soon we will get into the max speed zone, as we are approaching 50%+ support for esm. Then it will slow down again, and exponentially decrease speed as we approach 100% meaning we will never reach 100%.

Clearly this jump is the biggest one yet. We are speeding up.

I say this all the time. I'm a professional developer. I have a masters degree in software engineering. But I'm straight up too dumb to be productive in Effect.

So many devs want to feel smart and use stuff they don't understand to seems smarter. They end up making messes. I'm too Grug brained.

Some people even go one step further and confuse "butt in seat" with activity. The world we live in.

This looks useful and then I checked and found out that it's already in vs code. Awesome for those of us who are too afraid of the terminal.

Did the Svelte extension work? Is it as featureful as in vs code?

You do remember that "punching" is kinda how this all started on jan 6th 2020., right? Lots and lots of authoritarian regimes have been brought down by peaceful protest. It's tried and true.

Simon Willison survived posting this four days ago, so I think bsky is settling down on the ai front:

At the risk of starting the flame war to end all flame wars...

Modern LLMs (GPT-5.1, Claude 4.5, Gemini 3) produce excellent code and can be a significant productivity boost to software engineers who take the time to learn how to effectively apply them - especially if used with coding agent tools

Seems like a corollary to dunning-kruger.

The funny thing about dunning-kruger is that most people think it says that knowledgeable people underestimate how much they know. It doesn't.

It only says that people who don't know overestimate how much they know.

Sorry you will notice this now...
