Guys I'm not making this up...I asked Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok what frontend framework they would pick if they only could pick the one they would enjoy writing more.

They ALL said Svelte 🧡

Do your LLM a favor, switch to Svelte 🧡

I can't see any difference on bsky.jazco.dev/stats, but it still feels like I've seen more people around on bsky today than I have for a while.

You do you guys think bsky is gonna be an alternative to xitter if you guys keep chasing people off?
It became pointless.
it’s unfortunate that @mcuban.bsky.social gets so much hate on bluesky. i miss seeing his posts but can’t blame him at all for not posting because i’ve seen the replies when he does

Dev tip of the day:

❌ Don't:
npm run dev

✅ Do:
node --run dev

Why?
Because npm run has to phone home before it actually runs your script 🤯 It adds 100+ ms latency and is incredibly insane for privacy.

Sticking my hand in the wasp nest. But truly, they are useful.
At the risk of starting the flame war to end all flame wars...

Modern LLMs (GPT-5.1, Claude 4.5, Gemini 3) produce excellent code and can be a significant productivity boost to software engineers who take the time to learn how to effectively apply them - especially if used with coding agent tools

npm post-install is like calling Cthulhu
I think the npm client should probably follow pnpm in making post-install scripts be opt-in and recording that decision in package-lock, so if a package that was previously inert suddenly has a post-install script, it wouldn't execute.

I had high hopes for this place and was using it exclusively for months. But this place is now officially a far left cesspool of perfectionism and doomerism. X was bad last year, but the fun people have come back, while the fun people are still leaving Bsky. I'm honestly sad about Bsky.

The slow chilling of Bsky.

I seriously think people are leaving because this place is just not fun. Too much perfectionism, doomerism, criticism, and negativity.

This video did some excellent sleuthing on the actual usage of React Native. Spoiler alert: It is much lower than claimed.

1. What you see here is clearest illustration why things are so messed up and why it cannot get any better until this asymmetry is addressed.

Put simply: the right-wing has narrative dominance.

My org @mmfa.bsky.social did this study and has been sounding this alarm for years. Some thoughts...

What's it gonna take for everyone to realize the occupant of the white house is fundamentally anti-American?
Trump thinks anyone protesting must be from another country when the right and will to protest our own government is a foundational American value.
