Making things right

A four panel comic, showing how the hero dog and cat mage use the pencils they acquired in the previous comic.

The dog uses it to fix all the crimes caused by the cat... He draws the king a new crown, draws new gold for the dragon, and also appears to have helped the lizard warrior and carnival game operator. (All these characters appeared in earlier comics.) The dog then uses the pencil to draw a giant pile of bones. We can see that the pencil is getting shorter as he uses it to draw so many.

In the last panel, we see the cat is using her pencil to draw a replacement for her missing magic staff... The staff she used to pull all those crimes in the first place.

Art class

A comic page! The dog hero and cat mage have washed ashore with the giant pencil. The cat breaks it in half and sharpens the second piece so that they now have two useable pencils. The cat draws the outline of a bone on the ground, and the dog discovers that it becomes a real bone they can pick up.

In the last panel, the cat points to the second pencil, saying the dog can keep it. She has a speech bubble with the pencil in it. The dog, with hearts in his eyes, has a speech bubble full of a pile of bones as he imagines the potential of his new pencil.

Funny pages

This page depicts three comic strips in a stack. Each strip is a parody of a different classic newspaper comic strip. At the same time, the page shows my dog hero and cat mage characters chasing each other, from the bottom left to the top right. They run in and around the comic strips, interacting with their events.

The bottom comic is a parody of Calvin and Hobbes called Alvin and Dobbes. The cat climbs into Alvin's wagon as he rides it down a hill. Alvin asks if the cat ever feels out of place, like he belongs somewhere else? In the last panel, the wagon hits a rock and launches them both in the air, with the car launching up and out of the strip.

The middle comic is a parody of Blondie called Blondy. The Dagwood character is making a huge sandwich, and says all it needs is a hot dog. He reaches down and accidentally grabs the dog hero, lifting him up into the strip. The dog hero climbs up out of the strip by climbing up the sandwich, ruining it. The Dagwood character looks said and says he finally went too far.

The top comic is a parody of Rex Morgan MD called Rex Mason MD. In the first panel, the doctor asks a woman if she is still seeing tiny creatures. In the last panel, we see a close up of the woman screaming as the dog hero and cat mage climb up through the panel, before chasing each other off the page in the top right.

Whoops

This page is structured kind of like a newspaper Comics page, or a page from a comic strip collection, with three separate comic strips in three rows.

The first row shows the next phase of the battle between the Corgi adventurer and the cat mage. As their reality bending weapons strike one another, energy bursts from them, shattering the final panel and causing them to fall out of it. They then start running around and interacting with the panels of the next two comic strips as the dog chases the cat through them.

The second row shows a comic strip called Garfelb that is clearly a parody of Garfield. Garfelb complains that there is a hair in his food. Then the dog crashes into his bowl, splattering Garfelb with food. Garfelb says he hates Mondays. The dog climbs out of the food bowl and resumes his chase.

The third row shows a comic strip called Snopy, which is clearly a parody of peanuts. Snopy sits on the roof of his dog house, typing a novel on his typewriter. He types the sentence "Suddenly, A mysterious stranger appeared." Then the cat drops in and box accidentally bonks him in the head before running away. Snopy comments "Wow, I'm good."

The cat escapes from final panel of Snopy, running away while the dog barks at her.

It's all about context

A comic, with three rows of panels.

The first row is one wide panel. It shows the corgi hero chasing after the cat Mage, as they run alongside the edge of a body of water. The water runs along the entire bottom of the panel, while the characters run along a rocky shore above it. Behind and above the characters is a wide open blue sky. It is important to know that the sky and the water are exactly the same shade of blue. As the cat Mage runs away, she is using her staff to erase part of the bottom border of the panel. It is the rightmost third of the border that is being erased.

The second row has three panels. All three are focused on the corgi as he runs after the Mage. In the first two panels, he is running normally in front of that wide open blue sky. But in the third panel, because the Mage has erased the upper border, the blue sky is now visually connected to the water in the first panel. This recontextualizes the image so that it looks like the corgi is underwater, not in front of the sky, so he starts floating, with his cheeks puffing out like he is having to hold his breath.

The third row has two panels. The backgrounds for both panels look almost exactly the same... A rocky surface along the bottom and a big open blue area above it. But the first panel, featuring the corgi, is presented as being underwater, while the second, featuring the cat, is still on the surface. In the first panel, the underwater corgi is swimming, and uses his sword to poke a tiny pinhole in the right side border of the panel. Water sprays through this pinhole into the second panel, where it hits the cat in the back of the head like the spray from a powerful hose. Like the spray from a powerful hose. This all parses very weirdly, since the panels look so similar, but only one of them is underwater.

Showdown

A comic, with four rows of panels.

The first row has three panels. In the first panel, the corgi hero, brandishing a sword and looking annoying, approaches the source of our cat, who is relaxing with sunglasses on at the edge of a cliff. The second and third panel of focus on the cat... She seized the dog approaching and casually uses her magic stand to open up a hole in the bottom of the third panel, so she can leap down into the next row.

The second row is one wide panel. We see now that the cliffside where the cat was resting was on the left side of a large gap, with another cliff on the opposite side at the right edge of the panel. The corgi and kat are now standing on opposite sides of this gap, as the cat has slept down to the right side from the hole hole she made in the third panel of the previous row. She laughs at the dog, who can no longer get at her.

The third row is one wide panel. The corgi uses his sword to slice at the top border of the panel. The cat looks puzzled.

The fourth row is one white panel. The top border of the panel has become detached where the corgi sliced it, and he is now swinging on it like a rope to get to the other side. The cat panics.

Equipment upgrade

A comic page, with three rows of two panels each.

In the first row, one panel shows the magician dog reading a book called Meta magic, and the other panel shows her preparing to cast a spell on the hero dog's sword.

In the second row, one panel shows the magician enchanting the sword, while the other panel shows the hero picking the sword up.

In the third row, one panel shows the hero swinging the sword. It swings to the right and slices through the barrier between the two panels. The other panel shows the magician's hat being sliced in half by the sword as it enters their panel from the previous panel. The hero looks excited as he observes his new power in action.

Job offer

It's a comic, set in a fantasy tavern. An adventurer corgi is playing poker with some other dogs, while the human king begs him for help. The king has two speech balloons with pictures in it... One depicts the cat sorcerer looking evil, and the other depict the corgi hitting the cat with a sword, suggesting that the king is begging the corgi to help defeat the cat.

The king pulls up a poster, offering a huge financial reward with several dollar signs on in.

The corgi yawns.

The king pulls up a different poster, where the dollar signs have been replaced with bones.

The corgi springs into action, racing across a field with his sword in his mouth, looking excited.

Yoink

A comic strip. The first panel shows a throne room. The king listens as three citizens... The dragon, lizard man, and Carnival game operator from previous comics... Describe how they have been antagonized by a mysterious cat. There is no text in the comic: Their speech balloons contain pictures depicting what happened to them. The dragons speech balloon shows a shadowy figure stealing his gold. The lizard man 's speech balloon shows a shadowy figure lighting his tail on fire. The carnival game operator's speech balloon shows a shadowy figure stealing two of his cups.

The King asks who this shadowy figure was. His question is depicted as a speech balloon with a silhouette inside marked with a question mark.

The citizens respond by identifying the assailant as the magic cat seen in previous Comics. Their speech balloon shows a picture of the cat in it.

The king then looks surprised as the cat reaches outside of the speech balloon, grabs his crown, and steals it. He yells as the cat runs away.
