Compositor effects weren't a thing when I started developing the game. Though I have since upgraded to 4.4 I haven't had the chance to look into it so it's currently still a mix of 2d and 3d rects doing the work.

Although this is definitely the trend atm, Clair Obscure and Silksong are good counter points showing other styles of games can also do well so not all hope is lost !

The friend info and bundles could be hidden away in drop downs imo, would already help a lot with decluttering the UI

Interesting, hadn't come across this personally as I always use uniforms for colours. I do understand the reasoning for it though, it'd be equally weird if the default value wasn't converted.

What I'd do is create a gdshaderinc with a function to define colours like `vec3 grey = srgb(.5)` 🤷
