The pod save crew is wholly irredeemable braying jackasses, but Stewart is frustrating because he consistently leads the horse to water, but then says "What can be done about thirst, really?" and shoos the horse away.

There were two things supposedly in his favour; tactical nous and not being a prick. Seems like he’s 0/2

Speaking of self-preservation, I think I might have to start tuning out soon.

Which is why a lot of us felt loyalty toward him. It wasn’t b/c we’re Ange cultists. It’s b/c his football felt like what Spurs should be. He said you may beat us on Sunday but we will be who we are regardless. We don’t need anyone else to validate us. That makes me want to show up and sing.

Yeah Jose was a dreadful decision even if at the time I could see the thinking. Poch maybe not unlike Ange in that it was a salvageable situation but would have required bravery from Levy that he didn’t possess.

Right but they sacked the manager for that, even in the context of injuries and a trophy. The implication of sacking Ange when they did was that his team produced less than the sum of its parts. So either they shouldn’t have sacked Ange or they should sack Frank. Or both.

It really is mad that we sacked poch when we did.

We also had his work at saints to point to. Nothing at Brentford was evidence of managing an elite club. Poch realised he had to go let Poch be Poch when things were rough. Frank had to show he can do something completely different because his Brentford ideas would never level up to us.

We’re one match closer to this doomed experiment being over

Yes. Pochettino had his team showing roots of the plan in game one.

IMHO for the great majority of games at least 2, probably 3 of Grey, Bergvall, Sarr and Xavi should be starting.

Who could have predicted this?

I’ve always thought this was a bad idea but for whatever reason I’m coming around to it now.

Two points from five games, by the skin of our teeth.

Over 38 games that would get you the third worst Premier League season ever.

We’re giving him work experience at the highest level. It’s ridiculous

He’s a Liverpool fan and has said at some point that it was his dream job.

We won that game on xG (2.66 to 2.03), which is always strange to think about.

Some might say it’s a very good sign.
