I’m on Day 1 of a cross country roadtrip. Made it from IL to Nebraska. Special shout out the Worlds Largest Truck Stop off 80 in Walcott and Iowa’s Best Burger Café in Kellogg. Certainly the best burger I’ve ever had in Iowa.

My brain feels absolutely cooked, and all day I’ve been like, why can’t I get anything done? I haven’t been drinking, got enough-ish sleep, had my coffee, eat my gruel, all the while never really considering that the underlying cause might be *gestures at everything*

A month in to the new year and I feel tremendously tired. I hope it’s just the perfect storm of cold weather, darkness, unprecedented failure of government, and multiple interpersonal snafus to blame - because at least the weather will eventually improve. So that’s something to look forward to.
