Maybe because I went in with such low expectations but Marty Supreme… good picture.
I don’t dislike Chalamet but I have a tough time seeing the character with him. Some great line reads in this though.
Looks like a billion bucks Jack Fisk, Darius Khondji, and Miyako Bellizzi tremendous artists.

A bit under a year or so removed from The Brutalist I think that it is a ~good~ film with a tremendous ending.
Ariane Labed coming out for like five minutes for the best five minutes of a three n a half hour movie is so funny she’s the best. And still the best credit needle drop in ages.

Very funny as The Brutalist goes into wider release all of the promo shots and video thumbnails are, like, the two or three frames in the movie where Adrien Brody is smiling.

Labyrinth Of The Demon King, capitalization and all: EXCELLENT!
Aesthetically concise; early PS2 horror and Teruo Ishii films, Noroi, etc. Great sound design all around, down to character mumbles.
Really perfect pacing. No area overstays, the enemy variety is ample, systems as deep as needed.

Mushishi reprinting is a real treat.
Urushibara’s art is one thing, loose yet dense with all the foliage, but her balance between horror and objectivity in the stories is fascinating.
It’s partly why Hellboy is my favorite; it’s all just the job to HB, much like the mushi are to Ginko here.

Had a roll of weird "Edo 35mm film" for like a year that I only just shot recently. A little more desaturated than I was expecting (and not a ton of great shots out of it) but a few I don't hate..!
