i don’t like the “parrot” framing personally, at the very least i’d like people using it to engage with the reality of emergent behavior (linked)
On the Biology of a Large Language Model
We investigate the internal mechanisms used by Claude 3.5 Haiku — Anthropic's lightweight production model — in a variety of contexts, using our circuit tracing methodology.

I think running a local model, trained on a specific domain + fine tuned with tool calling specific to that domain is tempting - but have never dug into that.

"no not that, this" 🔁 still broken

It just occurred to me… Maybe they are using the juniors as a stepping stone to train the models… as a proxy between the LLM and senior engineer.

Well, I suppose it would be this (expanding agent scope)

Some things I look forward to doing (other than focused, scoped prompts for changes):

1. Using project rules: docs.cursor.com/context/rules
2. Playing around with MCP: docs.cursor.com/context/mode...

Cursor – Rules
Control how the Agent model behaves with reusable, scoped instructions.

For sure needs devs to guide it - which require the developer to have experience with the codebase, debugging, cursor interface, and LLM context. I know for a fact that non-devs who have never built 0 -> users will be amazed by this surface level output. Everything looks easy on the surface. 3/4

Not to mention, the changes it made 1) broke the site, and 2) wrote functions & files not even used. So I had to read through the 400+ lines of output to understand what it changed and debug for it. 2/4

“Associated with sinners. Injury near ribs, indicating history of violence. Trusted source calls him blasphemous [Pontius].”

So painfully true. If Jesus ran for president they wouldn’t vote for him.

Not sure where else to start. It seems like ed should be step one. But I’m also assuming better education ➡️ critical thinking ➡️ empathy

The only way to fix this is improve our education system imo.
