Also, I'm not sure if I was getting it across in my post but I *did* like the finale. I thought it ended on a nice hopeful note.

I understand that, it's just odd to me to show just what an utterly ruthless villain she is throughout the season and she just doesn't really suffer any onscreen consequences for it. On a show like this, usually any asshole character gets killed or, at least, punished for their deeds.

My only real complaint about the finale was that Dr. Kay received no real comeuppance other than "Darn, we lost our psychic super soldiers. Pack it up, boys."

I personally liked the ending but if you go on Tumblr, they act like the Duffer Brothers personally killed their families and burned their homes down for not making their ship canon.

I'm assuming an invisible Abigail is helping Edie carry all that because hoo boy...
