They stirred up angry mobs, and were supported by wealthy businessmen.
When they eventually won power, they put an end to democracy and much besides.
100 years on, it's resurfacing as 'populism'.

So it turns out that Trump's "brilliant" plan for ending the war in Ukraine was to threaten Russia with tariffs on the one-tenth of one percent of the imports that the U.S. receives. The average 3rd-grader could come up with a better plan.

Repubs in the Senate & House, just know that once you cross the rubicon of politicizing aid to victims of natural disasters, that is a road that you don’t want to go down. Especially since your states seem to have a lot more of them, & you tend to lose your majorities quickly.
