Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Winning isn't the point. They are just deliberately harassing these people, and wasting their time and money, and will go on doing it until someone kicks them into the street, or more fittingly, into Tartarus.
Appealing the dismissal instead of re-indicting is a way to kick the can down the road and avoid a lot of short-term humiliation over the other flaws in the case.
Leavitt: “We believe the attorney in this case, Lindsey Halligan, is not only extremely qualified…but she was in fact legally appointed. And I know the DOJ will be appealing this in very short order.”

Fugazi's "Suggestion" is perhaps the best feminist anthem ever written by a man. And it's a song everyone mentioned in Epstein's emails, especially Trump, should be forced to listen to on repeat.

One tragedy of our culture is that the many people who have no interest in hoarding excessive resources and doing selfish things have to waste so much of their time and energy playing defense against the ones who do.

So, the Russian dude whom Marco Rubio, Jared Kushner, and Steve Witkoff, Trump's crypto business partner, met with in Miami to hammer out this "peace" proposal is head of Moscow's sovereign wealth fund. It sure leaves one to wonder whether Trump's true agenda was his long-coveted Trump Tower Moscow.

You should definitely get Lindsey Halligan to indict them.

Republican Senator Mike Rounds said Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a call to senators, confirmed the so-called 28-point “peace plan” was actually a Russian wishlist and is “not the administration’s position”. Nor is there any threat to cut off weapons or intelligence to Ukraine.

Putin is a monster and a terrorist, as evidenced by his deliberate bombing of civilian residential buildings, and no US government should take his side.
Rewarding a dictator-aggressor always leads to another war. One that is usually even worse.

As a retiring but still sitting member of the House, MTG has the opportunity to read into the public record documents that otherwise could not be released... and would be protected by the constitution's speech or debate clause from prosecution.

MAMDANI: I've spoken about--

TRUMP: That's okay. You can just say yes. I don't mind.

Yeah, well they have their share of 1 percenters for sure. When you hang around rich people, nice as some of them may be, they get really salty when you talk about things like taxing unrealized gains.

Science can and does fall into thinking ruts, and does need the occasional shakeup from within, but Kennedy is regurgitating old, thoroughly debunked ideas. Not bringing anything new to the table. And he's playing with people's lives. Vaccines are among history's top scientific triumphs.

More and more de facto bribery, yes. But what has really changed is that these people used to give to both parties pretty equally—like, each side had its own billionaires. Now they're just straight up backing the oligarchy machine. No civic duty or social responsibility at all. Zero. Zilch.
We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.
