Helping people shouldn't be transactional but it should be reciprocal.

However, reciprocity should also be thought of collectively, not individually.

You might help someone else out, and the reciprocity shows up through them helping someone else out later.

Nothing says left-wing social democratic party like "relentless and remorseless" economic growth.

Alice Wong was one of the most effective people challenging the Whiteness of disability communities and its many flaws, but who believed fiercely in us as a community, in disabled people as oracles.

Alice brought so much to so many of us, it’s hard to measure the kind of gratitude I have for that.

Alice Wong. i could literally teach an entire semester of philosophy of technology & disability through a lens of just her. You should all go spend time with her work. Her essays, podcasts, TV appearances, books, all of it; it is all so good.

Good night Alice. Rest in power, pending justice & peace

‘Death remains my intimate shadow partner. It has been with me since birth, always hovering close by. I understand one day we will finally waltz together into the ether. I hope when that time comes, I die with the satisfaction of a life well-lived, unapologetic, joyful, & full of love.’

If you still mask & talk about covid I just want to say thank you. It makes me feel less alone as a disabled person. I know it’s mostly disabled people advocating for themselves but most people either abandoned us lot ago or never stood by us. We have to stand together as we always have. 🤎

The "cognitive decline and brain damage from repeat COVID infections" and "easy to use robot that makes slop and melts your critical thinking skills" is a hell of a combo in a post-fact media ecosystem
