sharing my art for others to see is great but mostly i just want to talk ideas so that i can draw more 🥺

it is uncomfortable to talk about because it sounds very shallow to say “yes i do care about interactions” but in my head, if every like or reblog was someone responding or leaving a comment i would be loads happier.

this is why i firmly believe ya GOTTA do it for the love of the game. interactions are a fickle friend and i know that if i start caring too much about that sort of thing i will lose any passion to draw.

it’s one thing to have a conversation of the nuances in each character, it’s another thing to go around saying ‘well your character made x y and z bad decisions so clearly they’re a horrible character and nobody should ever like them!!!!!!’

and god forbid you have a civil conversation with someone about those misrepresentations - that’s basically a full-on offensive against the fandom golden child. whomp.

i cringe at what i used to think because now i can see how skewed fandom is one way and i fully bought into it without digging deeper. propagating those ideas without real knowledge. blegh. gross feeling.
