So, which is it?

If this info wasn’t classified, that in itself would be a scandalous screw-up that must be explained.

And if it was classified, then the Trump administration lied to Congress and to the American people.

“At the end of the day, there isn’t a level of fraud that would create savings. That’s not the way that you’re going to be able to get money back. The way that you’re going to do it is by cutting the agency and making it nonfunctional. And that is where we have to really be on guard.”
New pod: A Social Security official fears Musk's DOGE boys will "make mistakes" as they ransack the program searching for fake fraud. This shows that Dems can use coming cuts to Social Security to split the new MAGA coalition.

What he said about Social Security payments has been repeatedly debunked - so the question isn’t whether he’s lying about this, the question is why.

What is this a pretext for? He and the GOP have long shown interest in going after Social Security. What are they going to try?

America does not need a ‘resistance,’ or stale slogans, or people putting those slogans on little paddles. It needs an opposition party that boldly defends the nation’s virtues, the rule of law, and the rights of its people.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

I remember the wonderful days when such displays of unity were led by the United States, not aimed at it.
In an extraordinary display of public support, heads of state, heads of government, and foreign ministers from all over Europe and Canada are posting in support of Ukraine in response to the Oval Office meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vance.

There it is! "Putin went through a hell of a lot with me. He went through a phony witch hunt." He is referring to them weathering their collusion becoming public, and now is the big payback: together until the end.

Russia is ecstatic- Trump will be allowing their spies (diplomats) back into our country, while closing FBI units meant to protect us from foreign spies.

This is worse than a bad movie.
Quite an own goal. We r allowing an increased Russian intel presence in the US. Incredibly shortsighted-we worked for years to kick them out. And new FBI boss wants to reduce number of CI squads. Russian intel is thrilled-will run rampant in the US.
Meanwhile… Russia is eyeing talks with the Trump administration about re-establishing a significant diplomatic presence in the US as an opening to rebuild its spy network in the West, current and former US officials say. www.cnn.com/2025/02/28/p...

So - I've actually led Ebola outbreak response at USAID.

This is bunk from Elon. They have laid off most of the experts, they're bankrupting most of the partner orgs, have withdrawn from WHO, and muzzled CDC.

What's left is a fig-leaf effort to cover their asses politically.
Elon Musk: "We will make mistakes. We won't be perfect ... so for example, with USAID, one of the things we accidentally canceled very briefly was ebola prevention."

Again, folks seem not to grasp how much this is a total collapse of the Constitutional order. A random private citizen is running the "Cabinet" meeting of POTUS & the Principal Officers of the Executive Departments, & going around unplugging large portions of the government. And we're all just 🤷‍♂️
This man is barely even a formal government employee, let alone elected or Senate-confirmed. A total failure of the Constitutional order, just broadcast & normalized by every major media outlet.
Elon Musk is now presiding over the cabinet meeting. They're not beating the co-president allegations. (And co-president might be putting it charitably for Trump.)
