We recently got Mubi so we could watch The Florida Project and was so pleasantly surprised about their offerings! Watched Good One (2024) last night; a really impactful everyday story for young women.

Sad news to hear that the Japanese director Masato Harada has died age 76. @jaspersharp.bsky.social and I interviewed him last year, about his film Inugami (2001), at his house in Tokyo for the @arrowvideo.bsky.social J-Horror Rising box set. Lovely and generous man.

Watching Lake of Dracula (1971) and it is most amusing that Leo the dog (who plays an inexplicably big role in the plot) seems to not only have been alive for longer than possible for a canine, but is also capable of transforming into different breeds…
