To any country making gender definitions into "male" and "female" I would like to say...SCIENCE!!!!WTF!!! Honestly, J.K.Rowling, you have about as much cunning as a glob of snot. Stop writing and pick up some book. Intersex people make up just under 2% of the population. People who are not xx or xy.

Stop hiding behind the letters, and spell it out : is it "diversity", "equality", or "inclusivity" That upsets you?

If we are attempting to define what financial strata of this country is most parasitic, there is a strong case to be made that the top 1% is most financially parasitic on the rest of society. That is only if we were to decide that we were to start looking at fellow citizens as parasites.

Taking the "T" out of LGBT at Stonewall National Monument is a direct assault on the queer community. You can not divide us. Our Trans siblings are family. Period. Removing a letter doesn't erase history, or make human beings disappear. That's some antiquated tactic your great grandpa used, dickhead

Sometimes markers of progress are made measure the advancement of disease, as in, "The cancer has progressed to stage 4", or "The oligarchy has progressed to unconstitutional actions."

This article is a good read. Ezra has a good perspective. Many of us have felt this is happening as a tactic, he just says it in a very eloquent way.

Look closely at the first two weeks of Donald Trump’s second term and you’ll see something very different than what he wants you to see.

"Some studies out of Poland"... that is about as obscure and vague as saying, "The special on the menu is food from the kitchen". On top of that, his suggestion would create an even less safe healthcare system for people of color in our country than already exists. No.

Okay. Let's get really clear. There's a high probability that there was only one air traffic controller last night because federal DEI workers have been put on paid leave, and Trump doesn't want his part in causing this atrocity.

Do you check your sources? Do you question your own assertions? Do you look into the claims of even those you respect to be sure you are well informed? Most important: are you willing to learn you were wrong? If we are to better understanding of each other, the doors of our minds must open.

The highest compliment from someone who disagrees with you is not “You were right.” It’s “You made me think.”

Good arguments help us recognize complexity where we once saw simplicity.

The ultimate purpose of debate is not to produce consensus. It’s to promote critical thinking.

My family history stretches back before the Revolutionary War, making us newcomers. I live on indigenous land next to people whose ancestors stretch back for millenia. My indigenous neighbors are now fearful of being targeted by the government for deportation if they lack tribal paperwork.

It's hard to watch everything going on and feel functional lately. Feelings of powerlessness are real, and we are (for the moment). Being powerless to stop people from being brought into our government who are detrimental is not the same as losing our rights. Gather information.

Here's a mind bender for you : why would the Anti Defamation League make excuses for a man who threw up two zeig heil salutes at presidential inauguration, and positively compared that man to the anti-semite, Henry Ford as though they were singing his praises? I could not make this up.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive
