They really do, which is why it's a very good thing that they wind up liking each other rather than becoming rivals (though, given their first interaction was a fight that only stayed as low-level as it did because Archer broke it up, them winding up friends wasn't a foregone conclusion XD)

(Also, for clarity, he doesn't *know* his da was Kasawit, it's just a decent guess based on the fact he keeps getting mistaken for being from Kasawe. I happen to know his guess is correct, because I also know he just missed being found by his aunt who came over the water looking for her nieces)

(On the flipside, Mortimer before he wound up estranged from his family would've politely requested the food be remade - his answer is very much to do with the fact he's surviving on mercenary half-pay and the little he makes from his job at the university library)

(Sabbat when he was younger [and thus didn't have both a reputation in the city and a reliable source of food] would've just eaten it and lit off without paying - then again, he'd have eaten what he actually *ordered* and lit off without paying as well, so that's not exactly saying much)

(Sabbat and Viola are also kinda on the same page here - if Sabbat gets the impression the meal's been deliberately fucked with because he's visibly lower-class/'foreign' he's going to be a fuck of a lot *more* impolite [similis if he thinks Archer's food's been fucked with because he's a vampire])

Honestly, checking the date on an article should be a big part of fact checking as well! And if you don't have time to fact check, maybe it's worth skipping on the share this time, and coming back round to it when you do have the time.
