"International postdocs have lower salaries, fewer benefits, less mentoring, and are less involved in collaboration, grants and teaching [despite having higher average research productivity]. These differences are greater for those with foreign degrees."

Because they felt that air pollution isn't killing enough Americans, the Senate voted to overturn an EPA rule that limits toxic air pollutants emitted by industrial facilities, marking the first time Congress has weakened protections under the Clean Air Act.

If also passed by the House as expected, the action will be the first time Congress has weakened protections under the Clean Air Act.

Newly out from our work on (remote) group clinics 🩺

Drawing on qual data from 3 studies, we examine the idea of ‘peer support’ in mainstream clinical care, and show how peer-based models of care bring about new roles and responsibilities for patients

🔸 Unpaid work limits women's careers
🔸 Gender gaps in time use narrowed in 1980s-2000s but have now stalled
🔸 Men still do little unpaid work & change is too slow

To close these gaps, we need paid parental leave, flexible work & cultural shifts.
