It's the mid 1600s or so, in a kingdom somewhere in central or eastern Europe. There's fairy tale vibes, but the magic is as subtle as a brush of hands. VSQ plays at all the masquerades (and has since 2013 😤 thanks, Bridgerton), & the waltzing is way ahead of its time.

#LGBTQWriteAThon Day 5 | Catching up since I wasn't here yesterday! Despite my book taking place in early autumn, I couldn't find any mentions of cooler weather, feeling cold, feeling chilly, or indeed autumn, so I found you this mention of Esta literally falling instead XD
