Furthermore what OP is talking about sounds a lot like creating a tulpa. We never did such a thing and we don't know how it works or how to do it safely. Feel free to look into it OP if you're interested though!

Also, we do have some amnesia, mostly emotional amnesia, and our plurality definitely came from trauma that we won't get into now. Note how non-disordered plurality and one not coming from trauma are not the same. Our multiplicity came from trauma but it doesn't bother us, so it ain't disordered.

So we don't have a DID diagnosis, our plurality is probably closer to the less disordered end of the spectrum or OSDD. That being said, the death you talk about is known as dormancy. It can be permanent or temporary. It really depends on the situation.
