It bears mentioning that using a black background doesn't require the use of white for sketch lines. If white is too intense for one, they can use green or magenta, if we are to stick to neon, for its clear distinctions between its colors.
I has three words for every digital artist: Sketch. On. Black. I know it's intuitive that a blank file would be white as a blank sheet of paper. But a sheet of paper is not a light source, and I thinks you'll agree staring at a mostly white screen is more draining than staring at a mostly black one
