Hard to beat the Mozart and Brahms Quintets, obvious choices though they are.

The Brahms has had a good few plodding recordings down the years - the perennial standout for me is Kell/Busch from 1938(?) - real fire and spontaneity.

Zeppenfeld and Garanča are both magnificent on this recording.
