Trans issues and motorsport are similar in at least one way: passing makes you feel good.

Thank you Crissa! I struggled with this piece for months - I had a lot of reasons why I didn't know if I could go public - but I realise now it was just my own internalised transphobia meaning I didn't believe in myself.

He also thought Kamala lost the election because she answered a question about trans healthcare.

Yes, and a cast of rich kids who seem to be learning something but then, crucially, don't. Also, drink every time Crofty says "TWO SECS_" to someone who's imparting bleeding obvious information, so we can hear an unenlightening radio message.

Not sure the exact piece, but generally today I think Robin Ince hits differently for a lot of GCs, because as an atheist, scientific, Radio 4 type, he was exactly the "sensible" sort they thought they saw themselves as. Weakens GCs' "we're only opposed by radical young lefties" argument.

After Abu Dhabi 21, I too no longer view this as anything other than the raw footage for Netflix. Part of me, though, hopes Piastri has been watching Suzuka 1989 to get his own back on McLaren.

If these competitions would be honest and say they were banning trans people because they didn't want negative publicity, or because they were bigoted, it wouldn't make it better for the people who miss out on competing, but at least it would show backbone, rather than hiding behind "verification".
