Trans issues and motorsport are similar in at least one way: passing makes you feel good.

Sad, the space one is taking his live gig to my town next year. Oh well, that saved me 45eur.

You're welcome. Other than having to tell multiple family members I'm not insane and not dying, and having to do a dignity-sapping pharmacy scavenger hunt every few months, it's a piece of cake.
Thank you to everyone who has transitioned later in life for showing the world that the pursuit of happiness and self-respect is a worthy, lifelong endeavor.

Nigel Farage is probably delighted today that Reform have the most members of a political party.

It doesn't have to be this way.

180,000 and rising. Hope ready to overtake hate.

A lovely podcast that I'm glad is back, hosted by two real authorities on motorsport.
In my friend Richard Williams’ & my new episode of our #F1 history podcast #AndColossallyThatsHistory we tell the amazing stories of 6 drivers who spent at least 20 hours (& in one case all 24) at the wheel during a single #LeMans24Hours race. Click below.

Either some day this selective purge of non-conservative opinion from mainstream media will be seen as a kind of second coming of McCarthyism, or it won't be remarked-on, because it'll be the start of a new Medieval period but with surveillance. I don't know which, yet. Strength to Robin. ✊🏻
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

You will have doubts. You'll probably spend several evenings crying, and you'll avoid conversations with old friends to avoid having That Talk, but it'll be worth it in the end. If you can afford it, get a therapist, and if you can't, join online/IRL support groups, and move forward with your life.

He did it. I don't think he's beyond criticism, but Damon Hill found fun ways not to win the title until the last round in 1996, and at the end of the day, in 29 years, nobody will remember that Lando was as convincing as the Mormons on my street.
NEW PODCAST: The record shows, he took the blows, and Lando Norris did it, his way. The Abu Dhabi Desert Decider, the key role all three men played in F1's first three-way since 2010, and discuss the dismissal of Helmut Marko from Red Bull. #F1

Congratulations, Wes, not only are you not protecting kids, thanks to your government they're now banned from Girl Guides (would they monopolise the medals?), and they can't play in f***ing club tennis tournaments. Is this why anyone voted Labour?
@lbc.co.uk posted this clip on X this morning, but for some reason decided not to post here (not enough Wes Streeting sycophants on Bluesky)???

It’s incredibly worrying that Wes seems to be running on ‘feelz’, because it definitely isn’t based on ‘evidence’ or ‘clinical advice’ as he claims! 😣

It's okay though, my guess is the Labour Obesity Tsar probably doesn't think trans women are women, so I'll see you at the buffet.

We've bounced back.
The first Motion Racing Podcast in 2 years goes back to how the podcast began, with a good old barney about Formula E, that chaotic, frustrating form of motorsport that, like a wayward cousin, does weird things but still makes you smile. #FormulaE #motorsport #podcast

This year I've cancelled Netflix due to their lack of trans-relatable content, Spotify due to drones, sound quality, and artist pay, and yet I continue to pay for the NYT in the face of its soft-soaping of genocide and trans exclusion, partly because I play the games against my mum every night.

Why would anyone fake being trans to enter a women's esports contest? It's such a non-argument. Nobody decides, for attention or to win trophies, to enter a sometimes toxic environment as something that would potentially draw online hate. Also, THERE IS NO BIOLOGICAL ADVANTAGE IN ESPORTS.
The tournament issued a fake “apology” after the backlash where I guess they’re trying to claim it was because they can’t verify if trans women are trans or not? This is such a vague non apology it’s hard to tell what they are even saying lol

I told family back home today that I wanted to be called by my chosen name by them when I'm there for Christmas. It's a cocktail of relief, sadness, and grief that I feel. Transition isn't something I love and embrace in myself 100% of the time. Sometimes I wish I could be less drama for loved ones.

Pluto Press is probably the best publisher currently in existence. I downloaded 12 of their ebooks for less than £30 in their sale last week, including a free book about Palestine. It's unusual for learning to be so accessible.
Even boring people can be dangerous.

In The Starmer Symptom, edited by @MarkPerryman, major political commentators examine how Britain has changed under a Labour government.

The aim of UK anti-gender movements is to make life so hostile for trans people that they all go back into the closet. The country is going mental, and now one of the last things that stood for openness and community is not open to the very people who need it.
i hope every single person who still buys harry potter merch or engages with that franchise is happy that they're literally making girl guides cry

girl guides uk have been forced very much against their will to exclude trans girls. full statement is here: www.girlguiding.org.uk/information-...

I wanted to let you know that the Motion Racing Podcast will be coming back. Mostly the same, just with a few things (alright, one thing) that's different. Looking forward to enjoying the Sao Paulo E-Prix with you all. SG #abbformulae

I've written what feels like one of the best pieces I've ever written, for a big feminist website, but the trouble is that something dramatic keeps happening to change the course of my legal transition, and that means I keep having to rewrite the damn thing.

Conflict: if Liverpool beat West Ham, they begin the long path to recovery. If they lose to West Ham, West Ham are 16th and it'll probably mean one week less of having to put up with Slot looking like he's trying to fix his own boiler with only YouTube videos.
