I hope these people always asking me to lose weight can imagine at least a fraction of the safety I feel by being unattractive when I'm alone. It's not a fool proof plan but it sure does help. It always helps to look like background noise.

I won lottery on recovery but there's so many that "exit" ICU alive, yet they haven't won in simply surviving. I see this erased everywhere in reports of grievous injury and it annoys me endlessly. No, you are not okay when you exit a hospital. They didn't fix you. You were fixed enough to endure.
