↕️ There is a significant north/south divide over mashed potatoes at Christmas dinner.

Three in five (60%) of northerners consider mashed potatoes a key part of Christmas dinner, nearly double the one third (34%) of southerners who do so.

🥔Roast potatoes (87% net important), gravy (83%) and stuffing (73%) are the three most essential items to have on a Christmas dinner, according to the UK public.

Roasties beat turkey (67%) and pigs in blankets (66%).

Labour's lead (38%) over the Conservatives (33%) on the economy is just five points - a 17 point drop since July.

📉 The Labour Party (37%) has a two point lead over the Conservatives (35%) among the public for who is most trusted on taxation.

Since July, Labour's lead over the Conservatives on tax has dropped by 14 points.
